When asked how the name of the business originated, Paul laughed and said, "Sometimes I tell people it means "slow and lazy," but I'm only joking when I say that. Actually, the business was started by my parents, Sheldon and Leslie Beaster, so I'll leave it to your imagination to guess how the business was named."

Question: What do you offer at S&L Auto and Tractor Parts?

Paul: "We sell parts for just about anything that moves. We rebuild starters and alternators and do some radiator work. We make custom hydraulic hoses for backhoes, bulldozers, farm tractors, logging equipment, and most other things that use hydraulics."

"We sell automotive tools and high-performance parts for race cars and hot rods."

Question: What are the major brands you carry?

Paul: "Wix - filters.
Gates - rubber products, belts, and hoses.
Moog - chassis parts.
Exide - batteries.
Monroe - shocks.
Standard - ignition parts.
AC/Delco, Champion, AutoLite, and NGK - spark plugs."

Question: What is the advantage of rebuilt alternators and starters over buying a new one?

Paul: "Rebuilt original equipment is a better quality item than buying a cheap replacement knockoff and costs about the same, and sometimes less. It's also greener, because you're recycling what you already own and not throwing more stuff into the landfill."

Paul: "We have lower overhead and that means we can offer more competitive pricing. We have over 23 years of experience in finding and selling the right parts you need. We are willing to stock special parts for regular customers so they don't have to wait if something breaks and they have to get back to work as soon as possible. We keep a book that contains information about heavy equipment that is owned by our regular customers and it has what we need to find the right parts. This helps us provide faster and more reliable service because we can get the right part the first time."
