Interviews with Interesting and Influential People in Murphy, NC

We look forward to talking to community leaders, business owners, non-profit volunteers, people who are doing interesting things, and others who share their views about living in Murphy, NC, now and in the past. We may even delve into trying to predict the future of our little town in the mountains.

Rather than categorizing the interviews, they will be posted in reverse chronological order (kind of like a blog), so that the most recent interviews are listed at the top and then get progressively older as you look down the page.

If it turns out that it makes sense to list them by category or individual, I may add a page that does so, but this one will always be ordered by date.

However, please remember that this site is intended to be family friendly and all comments are moderated with that in mind.

Mean-spirited, derogatory, and other similar attack-like comments will be hidden without a second thought. There are other sites where you can display your bad manners, but this isn't one of them. The same goes for foul language.

In early January, 2012, I had the pleasure of sitting and talking with Dena Howard, owner and lead photographer of Images By Courtnie Photography. Our conversation included her observations about running a professional photography business, working with kids of all ages, some of her plans for the future, and her thoughts about the limited edition portraits she's doing this month in The Enchanted Forest.
