I always enjoy eating at ShoeBooties
by John Dilbeck
(Murphy, NC, USA)
I've been eating at ShoeBooties Cafe since shortly after they opened and I've always enjoyed my meals there.
Usually, I eat lunch and I've enjoyed their quiches and sandwiches, but one of my favorites is their grilled chicken salad.
Usually, when I eat a salad, I choose Thousand Island dressing because it's a pretty safe choice, but I don't have to do that at ShoeBooties.
George makes a honey mustard dressing that I just love and I always ask my server if I can get an extra serving of the dressing. That's one of the things I appreciate about ShoeBooties, they encourage you to ask if you have any special requests.
Another thing I like is that they offer small taster cups for their soups. Is there a daily special you've never tried but might want to order? Just ask your server for a sample and they'll be happy to let you taste it before you place your order. That's a nice touch.
One of my pet peeves is to have an empty cup of coffee on the table when I'm eating and I'm happy to say that I've never had that problem when dining with George and Muffy. They have friendly, attentive servers who add to my enjoyment when dining there.
I really don't eat out a lot, but when I do, ShoeBooties Cafe is my first pick. I'm happy to recommend them to my friends and neighbors and I think you'd enjoy eating there, too.
