Our small mountain town is in Cherokee County, the western-most county in North Carolina. It is conveniently located to five cities (Atlanta, Georgia; Knoxville, Tennessee; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Asheville, North Carolina; and Greenville, South Carolina) that are approximately a two-hour drive away for when you want to enjoy what those cities offer.

You will find that Murphy, NC offers scenic beauty, friendly people, and all the benefits of living in or near a small town in a rural mountain area that is closer to the Great Smoky Mountains than it is to the nearest traffic jam.
